Dr Emilia Sokołowska, dr Anetta Sulewska and dr Maria Tomasiak-Łozowska from the Medical University of Bialystok were among the laureates of the National Science Center Miniature 2 competition.
Dr Emilia Sokołowska received a research grant in the amount of 50 000 PLN for research titled "Can sugar inhibit insulin resistance? Evaluate the efficacy and safety of isomaltulose, trehalose and tagatose in reversing insulin resistance in mice fed a high-fat diet."
Dr. Anetta Sulewska from the Department of Clinical Molecular Biology has acquired 50 000 PLN for the project "Evaluation of long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) expression in the early stages of lung adenocarcinoma (AC)".
dr Maria Magdalena Tomasiak-Łozowska received a subsidy of 50 000 PLN for the project titled "Searching for the mechanism of inhibition of clotting and fibrinolysis retraction process in patients with asthma. The role of superoxide dismutase, myeloperoxidase and platelet mitochondria".
