Academic Centre of Pathomorphological and Genetic-Molecular Diagnostics is one of the largest full-profile diagnostic centres in the country and the largest in the north-eastern region. It performs histopathological and cytological examinations as well as tests in the field of molecular biology and cytogenetics. ACPGMD provides diagnostic services for the largest health care facilities in the region, business entities as well as private individuals. It employs a team of qualified pathologists and laboratory diagnosticians specializing in medical genetics, medical microbiology and laboratory medical diagnostics.
Since April 2020, a laboratory for the detection of the SARS-CoV-2 virus so far performed over 120 000 PCR tests. This constitutes about 70% of all tests performed in the Podlaskie Voivodeship.
