On May 17, 2023, the Open Day of the Medical University of Bialystok took place. Despite the fact it had been raining since morning the MUB’s event went great.
Due to the weather, the stands of the fields of Medicine, Dentistry, Dental Techniques, Pharmacy, Laboratory Medicine and Cosmetology were located in the hall of the Palace, while the stands of the fields of Clinical Biostatistics, Dietetics, Electroradiology, Physiotherapy, Dental Hygiene, Speech Therapy with Phonoaudiology, Nursing, Midwifery, Emergency Medicine and Public Health and Epidemiology were located inside a roofed hall in the courtyard of the Branicki Palace.
Participants could take part in, among others, workshops on surgical suturing or making and viewing microscope slides. Physiotherapy students offered therapeutic massage, and cosmetology students taught how to apply make-up. There were also dietary advice, first aid, medical knowledge quizzes and preventive medical examinations.
Despite the rainy weather, many young people visited us. In addition to the opportunity to participate in interesting workshops, secondary school students had the opportunity to talk to students of all faculties about how to prepare for classes and exams, and of course about the backstage of studying.
At the same time, laboratory classes were held as part of the 19th Podlaski Festival of Science and Art.
