More than 400 MUB academics received Rector's awards for the 2022 year.

The award ceremony was held in the Aula Magna of the Medical University of Bialystok. The festively decorated auditorium brought together didacticians, young and experienced scientists, those honored for lifetime achievement, or those employees who have obtained significant research grant funding. A Chapter composed of students also honored the "Best Academic Teachers." On behalf of the Rector's authorities, the Academic Community was welcomed by the Vice-Rector for Science and Development - Prof. dr hab. Marcin Moniuszko. He thanked everyone for their hard work on behalf of the University and encouraged scientific cooperation. The Vice-Rector, Prof. dr hab. M. Moniuszko addressed warm words of Christmas and New Year's wishes to those gathered.

For 2022, there were 444 applications qualified for UMB rector's awards for last year, including:

- 10 applications for a scientific award for obtaining a grant for scientific activities,

- 360 for scientific award for works published in journals with MEiN scoring and obtained patents,

- 64 for a teaching award,

- 10 for a lifetime achievement award.

This year, for the first time, His Magnificence the Rector of MUB decided to recognize the 21 young scientists with the highest IF ratio of the submitted publications, in which the young scientist is the first author.

The ceremony was enriched by the performance of the MUB choir under the direction of Professor dr hab. Anna Moniuszko.
