MUB is one of the most rapidly growing research centres in the field of medical sciences in Poland. Through effective acquisition of funds during the last 10 years, the University accomplished certain major improvements in terms of infrastructure necessary for the execution of projects in the field of personalized medicine, with a special focus on diabetes and obesity. MUB has received grants for purchasing state-of-the-art equipment for research in genetics (Next Generation Sequencing - NGS), metabolomics, proteomics, and exercise testing. As a result of the above, the overall research capacity of MUB has greatly improved. The University already has the infrastructure required for most elaborate research. As students and researchers will advance in terms of experience and professional knowledge by using the available infrastructure, the quality of research will improve and MUB will be able to compete with the world leaders in the field of OMICS research.
